First-year appointments are made through the National Resident Matching Program with applications accepted through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). Applicants are selected for interview based on their USMLE scores, letters of recommendation, medical school transcript, Dean's letter, research projects, presentations, publications and volunteer work.
Foreign graduates must have a standard ECFMG certificate and be eligible for permanent immigrant status and licensure in the state of South Carolina.
The deadline for application is October 15. Interviews are scheduled in December and January.
