Acceptance requires graduation from a medical school approved by the American Council on Graduate Medical Education (ACGME). International Medical Graduates must have standard ECFMG certificates  and must be either a U.S. citizen, permanent resident status (i.e. "green card") or hold a J-1 visa.

First-year appointments are made through the the National Resident Matching Program (NMRP) beginning July 1. All applicantions must be submitted through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) to be considered. Included with this application must be the following:

  • ERAS application
  • Three letters of recommendation of which one must be from an emergency physician
  • Medical School Transcript
  • USMLE scores or equivalent test scores

The deadline for applications is December 1. All components of any application that are not received directly through ERAS may be addressed to:
