Length of Training
The fellowship will be twelve months in length. The fellowship will begin July 1 of each academic year.
Applicant Qualifications
All applicants must have graduated from an ACGME accredited primary care residency and be board-certified or board-eligible in their primary care specialty. The applicant must qualify for South Carolina Medical Licensure. Applicants must submit three letters of recommendation with their application. One of these letters must come from the applicant's residency program director. Applicants are not required to have prior ultrasound experience.
The deadline for fellowship applications is January 1. Interviews will be conducted in January and notification of acceptance will occur no later than February 1.
Completion of Training
Upon completion of training the fellow will receive a certificate of completion of the Primary Care Ultrasound Fellowship training from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine and Palmetto Health Richland.
