Message from the Director

Thank you for your interest in the Prisma Health/University of South Carolina School of Medicine Preventive Medicine Residency. Our program offers an accredited 2-year training in general preventive medicine and public health. We are located in the state capital of South Carolina. Our central location presents us with the benefit of being in close proximity to state government offices and public health agencies in addition to large academic, clinical, and research institutions.

Through our strong partnerships and dedicated faculty, our program is able to offer our residents a comprehensive curriculum with an ample number of opportunities to engage in a spectrum of various rotations and projects based on areas of interest and personal career goals. We are committed to training residents to become board-certified general preventive medicine and public health practitioners who are equipped to serve as future leaders in various settings within the diverse and rewarding field of preventive medicine.
